An automatic calibrating grader that sorts raw cashew nuts into five size grades — A+, A, B, C and D — so every nut cracks the same way in the shelling machine.

The TTQ Raw Cashew Nut Grading Machine sorts unshelled raw nuts by size across four calibrated screens — hole diameters Ø18, 20, 22 and 24 mm in 4 mm mesh steel — which produces five size grades: A+, A, B, C and D. Uniform sizing is the single biggest factor in shelling yield: when every nut in a batch is the same size, the cutting blades can be set precisely, cutting breakage and raising whole-kernel output. It is supplied as a set — the size sorting machine, a bucket conveyor and a tank — and feeds directly into steaming and shelling.

Why size uniformity decides everything downstream
Four screens, five sizes
Screens at Ø18, 20, 22 and 24 mm cut the crop into five bands: anything over Ø24 is A+, each screen takes the next band down, and whatever passes Ø18 is D. The count is not arbitrary — it falls out of the screen set.

Uniform nuts mean fewer mis-cuts — more whole W-grade kernels and fewer broken splits.

Raw cashew size-grading — models & lines
Two different things in one table. The 3–12 m units are rotary sorters rated in kilograms per hour — continuous machines you feed. The 5 T, 15–20 T and 30–35 T entries are complete calibration lines rated per batch: a 5 T line puts five tonnes of raw nuts through a full sorting cycle in 35–45 minutes, and the power figure is the line, not a machine.

The process, drawn
The eight core stages
Raw cashew nut in at one end, packed export kernel out at the other. Moisture is the thread: every stage either takes it out or puts a controlled amount back.
Capacities and cycles are Size A basis, per 8-hour shift. Stages 04 and 05 are separate machines in separate rooms — the borma oven dries, the humidifier puts moisture back.

Buying a PLC layer for an individual machine buys very little. The automation that changes headcount is the integrated line that prepares and feeds the nuts.
Where it fits in the process
Grading is the first stage on the line. Raw nuts arrive here straight from drying or storage; the sized output flows into the steaming machine and then to shelling.
